GREENLAND ICEWATER
Pristine water,
straight from the Arctic
OUR BUSINESSES
BOTTLED WATER
(PREMIUM DRINKING WATER)
Greenland IceWater brings you arguably the world's finest, most pristine and most fabled water, straight from our our protected sources north of the Arctic Circle in the heart of Greenland.
The water is naturally alkaline, with a pH value of ~7.8, and exceptionally pure, with TDS or Total Dissolved Solids of less than 50 ppm. TDS of 300-600 is deemed good and TDS <300 is deemed excellent.
Brought to you in naturally anti-bacterial and fully biodegradable and compostable plant-based bottles, it is beyond doubt the most sustainably sourced and packaged water on the planet.
BULK WATER
(MUNICIPAL AND AGRICULTURAL)
Greenland IceWater provides governments, utilities and businesses around the world with a regularised supply of bulk water of the highest quality, in the largest volumes ever transported and distributed, and at the most competitive rates, for municipal and agricultural purposes.
Both our municipal and agricultural water is exceptionally pure, with TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) of <50 ppm, and can be delivered to the port of destination through our specially-configured water tankers.
Our municipal water is naturally alkaline (pH value: >7.2) and treated at source and en route. Our agricultural water is naturally nutrient-rich, can be slightly acidic (pH value: ~6.0) or slightly alkaline (pH value: ~7.2), based on agricultural need or preference, and delivered untreated.
"Greenland IceWater is the most sustainably sourced and packaged water in the world."
OUR STORY
Resting majestically like a crown on top of the world, Greenland is home to the largest and most pristine reservoir of high-quality freshwater in the world, outside Antarctica.
Dominating its awe-inspiring landscape is its vast and ancient ice sheet – a relic of the Pleistocene ice ages and up to 100,000 years old even at its margins – that holds around 10% of the world's freshwater. This mesmerising feature is further adorned by countless glaciers, ice caps, ice shelves, icebergs, melt ponds, lakes and rivers, along with dynamic coastal communities, that make Greenland a land like no other.
While the tragic melting of Greenland’s abundant snow and ice results in immense volumes of freshwater flowing into the oceans, contributing to rising sea levels and changing ocean conditions globally, many parts of the world still wrestle with acute water shortages, inadequate access to clean drinking water and insufficient water to sustain growth or meet increasing demand.

By harvesting only the surplus melt at our carefully selected and strictly protected sources in Greenland and by using only eco-friendly anti-bacterial, biodegradable and compostable plant-based bottles, we are able to offer arguably the finest, most legendary, and most sustainably sourced and packaged water in the world.
Enjoy the natural purity, freshness and excellence of this fine Arctic water. The more you drink or use it, the more you benefit your own health and that of the earth!
OUR SOURCES
Our water is drawn from our carefully selected and strictly protected sources near the coastal towns of Sisimiut in western Greenland and Paamiut in southern Greenland. Our premium drinking water is bottled at source in Sisimiut.

Home to Greenland's northernmost ice-free port, Sisimiut (formerly Holsteinsborg) is located 75 km above the Arctic Circle, at the mouth of the Amalok Fjord, on the eastern shores of the Davis Strait.
Paamiut (formerly Frederikschåb) is located at the mouth of the Kuannersooq estuary, on the eastern shores of the Labrador Sea, and is also home to a port with year-round ice-free access,

SUSTAINABILITY
HARVESTING
Meltwater runoff from Greenland represents the most abundant, harvestable and sustainable source of water available in the world today, likely providing the most compelling source of such water for decades (potentially centuries) to come. At Greenland IceWater, we harvest only the surplus melt at our sources in Greenland, use only clean hydropower for our harvesting operations, and create local employment and community benefit.
PACKAGING
We use only eco-friendly naturally anti-bacterial and entirely biodegradable and compostable plant-based bottles, consciously avoiding the use of plastics and averting the risk of contributing to marine plastic pollution. We also bottle our water only at source in Greenland, ensuring the highest quality and creating local employment and value. Our aim is to ensure that Greenland IceWater is not only the most sustainably sourced but also most sustainably packaged water in the world.
DISTRIBUTION
We are able to harvest large volumes of surplus water at our sources in Greenland and transport and distribute it as bottled water (via container ships) and bulk water (via specially configured tankers) to markets around the world, especially those marked by acute water shortage, lack of adequate clean water, or growing and/or unfulfilled popular, municipal and agricultural demand.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS)
Click on each icon below to see how Greenland IceWater advances the United Nations'Â 17 Sustainable Development Goals in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
We intend to remediate poverty by providing farmers a vital resource to boost production, and by offering consumers, businesses and governments with increased and regularised access to clean, high-quality water
By providing high-quality water to farmers in volume, we are offering a valuable resource to boost agricultural productivity effectively and affordably in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia
By providing a regularised supply of clean, high-quality drinking water to regions (at times, highly populated) with high levels of water stress and inadequate access to clean water, we contribute to good health and well-being
Positive impact on education by allowing more time for studies rather than for the procurement of water from distant sources given that children are oftentimes tasked with the lengthy search for local water for their families
Similar to the benefits for quality education, the distribution of abundant, clean ice water is also intended to free many women in the poorest and driest regions from the daily procurement of water to other productive activities
By increasing access to clean, high-quality water through the supply of bottled drinking water through retailers and distributors and bulk municipal water to governments and utilities for households, businesses and institutions, we tackle head on the scourge of water injustice and inequality
We promote affordable and clean energy by utilising renewable, clean hydropower for all of our production activities
By investing in harvesting and bottling operations at our locations in Greenland, we are committed to creating local employment opportunities and supporting economic diversification, growth and resilience
Apart from supporting economic diversification, new industry development, job creation and royalty-driven revenue generation in Greenland, we also intend to provide a major portion of the reliable water infrastructure across the MEASA Region for decades to come
We aim to reduce inequalities within Greenland through new employment and business opportunities, and we intend to reduce water injustice and inequality globally by providing increased and regularised access to safe, clean, high-quality water
By contributing both bulk and bottled water in an affordable and entirely sustainable manner, we intend to have a direct and positive impact on the development of both sustainable cities and communities
By only harvesting surplus melt from our sources in Greenland, only using clean hydropower for all harvesting and packaging operations, and only using naturally anti-bacterial, biodegradable and compostable plant-based bottles, we aim to be the most sustainably sourced and packaged water in the world
We intend to have a positive impact on addressing the negative consequences of climate change by capturing large volumes of Greenland’s surplus melt before it runs off into the oceans, contributing to sea level rise, desalination and changing ocean conditions globally
We will avoid the significant marine pollution problems associated with plastic bottles by using only biodegradable and compostable plant-based bottles
We intend to promote life on land by providing abundant, clean water supplies needed for both human and agricultural purposes, with the added benefits that land-based wildlife will also become principal beneficiaries
By providing abundant, clean ice water across all economic classes, we intend to promote healthy social institutions and reduce social frictions that can ensue when there is a shortage of water
Our success and scale is entirely dependent upon key partnerships - with governments, businesses, investors and communities in Greenland and the world beyond
